Search intent

Keyword Hero classifies every keyword by what the searcher was trying to do. The class shows as a single letter in the keyword tables of the app.

Letter Intent The searcher is
I Informational Exploring a topic
N Navigational Trying to reach a specific website
C Commercial Comparing options, researching before a decision
T Transactional Ready to act: buy, sign up, book
A keyword table in the app with a column of intent letters next to each keyword.

Where it appears

Section titled “Where it appears”
  • Reports: Overview, Devices, Countries, Landing Page and Brand vs. Generic.
  • Filter: the Intent dropdown in the filter bar. See Filter by search intent.
  • Not in Google Analytics. Search intent is not uploaded to the Keyword Hero property, so it is not in Looker Studio either.
  • Plans: Giant Hero and above.
