Cannot create the property
In the setup step that creates the Keyword Hero property, every Google Analytics account is greyed out, or Keyword Hero says you lack permissions.
Keyword Hero creates a new property, and creating a property needs edit rights on the account. In almost every case you have edit rights on a property, but not on the account above it.
1. Check where your rights are
Section titled “1. Check where your rights are”In Google Analytics, open Admin → Account access management for the account. If you are not listed there with the Editor or Administrator role, your rights are on the property only.
If you are listed with the right role and Keyword Hero still says otherwise, reload the setup page in your browser.
2. Get edit rights on the account
Section titled “2. Get edit rights on the account”Ask whoever administers your Google Analytics account to give you the Editor role at account level, in Admin → Account access management. If you are an administrator yourself, you can give it to yourself.
3. Or use a different account
Section titled “3. Or use a different account”The Keyword Hero property does not have to sit in the same account as your original property. You can:
- Pick another Google Analytics account you already have edit rights on, such as your agency’s or your own, in the left column of the upload step.
- Sign in with a different Google account that has the rights. Use the Change account link in the wizard.
- Create a new Google Analytics account. In Google Analytics, open Admin → Create → Account and follow the steps; you do not need to set up a data stream. You are its administrator automatically. Reload the wizard and pick it.
